To get your business up on the web you will need three things:

1. a domain name or web address like www.example.com.au

2. a website

3. somewhere to host your site

Domain names

A domain name, also known as a URL or web address, is your unique address on the web. They are also used for your email addresses. So your website address would be something like www.example.com.au and your email address would be joe@example.com.au or info@example.com.au

We sell domains via the Sauced Out Domain Name Shop. You have the choice between a .com.au or a .com address where available. To be eligible for a .com.au address you will need to provide an ABN or ACN.

We also sell additional domain names for a competitive price (ie a lot cheaper than many other sites). It's good practice to purchase a .com if you own the .com.au to stop someone else developing a site in competition to yours and also to expand your market overseas. We can redirect one of the addresses to the main address so that people visiting www.example.com will be instantly sent to www.example.com.au

Please note that some addresses may already be taken and you may not get the address of your choice. However, we can work with you to find the best alternative.

Hosting your site

In order to be live on the web your site will need to be hosted with a web host. A web host rents you space on a web server for your website files. Each account has its own control panel and the web host provides support for your site.

Our parent company, Sauced Out, provides web hosting for a small monthly fee. Our websites are hosted in Australia and we provide high level support for your site.
